The Appraisal Hub / Vendor diligence
Vendor diligence
What will your third party risk team receive?
A file, sent by a person, covering the ground a bank or credit union reviewer works through. This page lists what is in it and the two ways to ask for it. We would rather list what we hold than publish a checklist with gaps in it.
In the file
What is in it?
These are the areas a bank or credit union reviewer works through, and the file answers them in this order. Our Appraisal Operations Manager puts the file together and sends it when you ask, rather than a form generating it.
Tell us the states you lend in when you ask, and the licenses that matter to you come first.
What you receive
- Company information: who we are, how long we have operated, and who owns the firm
- Appraisal management company licensing, with the license number for each of our twelve states
- Compliance
- Quality control and the review process, in writing
- Appraiser qualifications, and how an appraiser is vetted before joining the panel
- Technology and the ordering platforms and loan origination systems we connect to
- Business continuity
- Data security and privacy
- Lender references, available on request, with each reference's permission
How to ask
How do you request it?
Two ways, and neither of them is a download form that emails you later.
Request it
By telephone: (508) 850-9090, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
In writing: ask for the vendor packet on the contact form. Say which states you lend in and who on your side is doing the review.
There is no gate on it and nothing is withheld until a sales call. A reviewer who wants to read it before anyone talks to us is welcome to do exactly that.
Why it is not a download
Why is the file not published on this page?
Because it is assembled for the reviewer who asks, and because some of it belongs to the onboarding paperwork rather than to a web page.
A page tells you what we hold. The file itself carries current documents, and a document on a public page is out of date the day after it is replaced. The other reason is plainer: we would rather know who is reviewing us, so the person who sends the file can answer the questions that come back.
Checked in advance
What can you verify before you ask us for anything?
Two of the three things a diligence reviewer wants are already public on this site, and the third costs one telephone call.
Our licenses and the twelve states are printed with their numbers. The ordering platforms and loan origination systems we connect to are named. The third is us: call the number and hear who answers, which is the part of a vendor relationship no document can tell you about.
What a lender can expect from the working relationship is set out on the service promise page, and what happens before a first order is on the lenders page.
Talk to us first
Start with a conversation, not a form
