The Appraisal Hub / Appraisers
Appraisers
Working with us as an appraiser.
The firm was founded by an appraiser, so we treat the appraisers we work with as the heart of the service. An order is assigned to an appraiser chosen for the property, it is never broadcast to the panel, and being on the panel costs you nothing.
Assignment
How does work reach you?
An order is assigned to an appraiser chosen for the property. It is not broadcast to the panel.
That is the part worth reading twice, because it is the part that decides how your day works. Nothing here arrives as a message sent to everybody at once, so accepting work is not a race against the rest of a list. When something about a file needs a person, there is one to reach on the telephone during stated hours.
The same desk is described from the lender's side on the service promise page.
What we ask
What do we ask of you?
What the registration asks for, and nothing that is not on the form.
- Your appraiser license: the number, the state, the type and the expiry date, with a copy of the license itself
- Your errors and omissions insurance: the policy, the expiry date, and a copy
- The area you cover, so orders reach you where you work
- Your FHA approval, if you hold one
- A background check, your software provider, a W-9 and your resume
Background checks are recommended but not required.
The registration screen is the whole list, and it is where the documents are uploaded. Nothing is asked for twice.
What it costs
What does it cost you?
Nothing. There are no memberships and no application fees.
You do not pay to join the panel, you do not pay a membership to stay on it, and you do not pay to receive an order.
Your report is your invoice: the order desk keeps track of it so you do not have to.
Review
Who reviews your report?
A licensed or certified appraiser. Every report is reviewed before it goes to the lender.
The report is also checked against our comprehensive quality control checklist, and it is read by somebody who has done the work. When something comes back to you, it comes back from a person who can say what they are looking at and why, rather than as a line item on a form.
What that review means to the lender who ordered the report is on the lenders page.
Joining
How do you join the panel?
Through the registration form, and then your registration is reviewed.
Register
The Appraiser Registration form takes the license, the insurance, the coverage area and the documents in one pass.
Ask first, if you would rather
Call (508) 850-9090, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, or send us a message. An appraiser with a question before registering is not a nuisance.
Once your registration is approved, you'll have access to our order management system, where you can view your files, assignment status, and documents.
Questions
Do you charge me anything to receive orders?
No. There are no memberships and no application fees, and nothing is withheld for the privilege of being on the panel.
Is an order sent to the whole panel at once?
No. The order is not broadcast to the panel. It is assigned to an appraiser chosen for that property.
